Hello everyone, I was wondering when the prices for the new MBP W/TB would drop. previous years experience? I am leaning on getting a new MBP, just sold my 2015 Rmbp pro on craigslist for $1000 for a base model. I am thinking that I will regret this decision, I mean I have the money for the new macbook, but I still respect my money and paying $1823.00 for a new macbook seems steep. When do you guys think the price will start dropping? Then again waiting a couple months to save a few hundred might not be worth it. Thanks

Even if it were to drop, it would be between 100-150 and you're talking 2 years from now. The price isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

$300 in 6 months time if no one buys it...

Which is not gonna happen. The figure of online preorder is the all time high. You see, people keep buying it, that's why Apple has got complacent.

So probably $100 off for gen 2.

Black Friday is near..
typically a $100ish off any MBP at Bestbuy etc. They are running a $100 off right now (select old models only)

Seems as if I remember that the first Retina MacBook Pro went down in price in a couple of months after they were introduced.

Yes I agree, The thing with Apple products especially Macbooks, if you are going to use them for 5 or 6 years just buy it, and when you sell you will get good money back. its not worth waiting 6 months to go without a computer.
