Hi. I've been a Mac user for years, and wouldn't go back for anything. I've seen the rest, and know the best. My first computer was a Kaypro word processor. Then I had some other, horrible PC, the name of which, I have permanently removed from my memory. I was introduced to the Mac when I worked at a mortgage company, that was run entirely on Macs. My first Mac was a 128k, and I've had several desktop models and two powerbooks, since then. It's a regular Mac museum around here. Currently, I am using an iMac Ruby and a newer iMac G4. Even with two iMacs, competition for computer time is high, with a husband and four kids who also love Macs! My mother has an iMac G4 also, but my father was convinced by some idiot friend, (oops-not supposed to say idiot - but in this case...forgive me, please. That's the nicest word I can think of!) that Macs are just "toys" and that the only "real" computers are PC's. So he bought a Sony Vaio, which I have to deal with in order to help him. I've been very surprised by the amount of trouble I've had with System 10 and it's upgrades, including Jaguar. I've never had any problems with Macs that I couldn't figure out on my own, but this is perplexing. So, I will try not to be a pest, but I will probably be asking a few tech questions. A friend just told me about this forum today, so I haven't really taken the time to read a lot yet, but I will, just in case my questions have already been answered.
