    Sounds like this...

Some unit where there is a set monitor and power supply. Then you can drop in a chip that has everything else to form a computer...

I guess kinda like a...taking the screen off of...the imac?

    Hey über....

I think what that patent is, is like the LEDs on the XServe and XServe RAID. If you read about them, it starts going into....

"The display is for the GUI, speakers are for the Audio". "If you have a DVD movie playing, the screen shows what should be playing, the speakers produce shound that should be heard, and the LED will tell whether or not the DVD is playing in the drive".

I think its kinda like the XServe RAID thing to indicate whether or not the drives are working etc.

    Re: not the same one

More like a Mac Light :)

Perfect for low light areas. ;)

it woulda been cool to have a computer case lamp...i made one with my lime green CRT iMac and it's cheaper and prettier than the lights i normally use that change colors.

    Re: iMac

Am I missing something or does the first image say it was filed yesterday (11th) and on page 5 of 9 it talks about the advantages of seperate components and intergrated cmputers and says to there knowlege there is no art that combines the advantages of both so this ptent is for the idea of having something like the imac which the bottom removes and can plug in a new computer logic board etc so say when a new imac is released or the components fails you can buy the comp without the monitor. Thats what it seems like to me anyway, except the artist has used the old imac instead of the fp imac or the emac which is strange. Thats what it seems like to me anyway.
