Yesterday i was searching in ebay for a used smart cover and i saw a buyer from Honk Kong selling a lot of new genuine apple smart covers in black on auction , i followed the sales and a lot of them finished below the 20$ marge
Is it possible he is making profits with that ???
Link to one of the items : http://cgi.ebay.ca/New-Original-Gen...s_Apple_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a1160067c
In the description of all his items ... I find the same expression : Genuine A pple smart cover ( A pple not Apple ) ... But in the description the word Apple is well written
Do you think he is tricking people in this add ??

Probably not all for that particular product.

Also, just because people are satisfied with it, doesn't mean it's authentic.

I say buyer beware....... if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Who cares if it's Apple genuine or not? It's not an iPad, it's only a cover!

Well, if it's not genuine, it may have some quality issues. Maybe it'll fall apart in a month......

Its definitely a fake. A real smartcover has a grey interior, and that one has black. He also never mentions the fact that it should be leather.

    Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/534.32 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

As others have said, they're cheap because they're fakes. Why would someone set up a business and go to the trouble of listing on eBay and shipping from hong kong just so they could lose money on every item they sold?
You can guarantee the seller is making money when they sell for $20, which means they're paying less than $20 for them. That means they're not genuine

You may not care but others do. I personally would want to make sure I got the genuine article regardless of price and not some cheap knock off that isn't going to last.

quality and build issues are to be expected, but may be worth it for 15 to some. but that's only about half off the plastic one. it's not leather.
