should we report posts/threads that we feel should be moved? or should we just trust the admins to do their job (when sober)?

Arn, I have the utmost respect for the work you do here on MacRumors, and I am even going to buy a mug one of these days I swear! But....do you think it's a good idea to ghettoize the political threads? Some of us really get into it I know, and lately there's been a lot of them, but on a certain level I think that having them mixed in with the general community discussion is actually a good thing even for those averse to politics. If you are one of the people who doesn't get into political debate too often normally, like myself, it's refreshing to find some good open discussion of todays events. A lot of what gets discussed is good for the occasional browser who wouldn't seek it out. By putting a label on it, it will bring in the zealots, but scare away the people who may actually benefit from reading a political thread every once in a while.
    just a thought.

I suppose... however, there are so many threads related to this, that it clutters of the community discussion. Obviosuly there are enough people interested or sucked into talking about it, I think it's own forum might be warrented. I know I've stopped reading any politcal thread. :)

I prob will link it in some form from the main page...

I was getting a little sick of political threads, but then again most
everything having to do with politics makes me sick. I think this
was a very good idea. Now I only have one thread to avoid ;) .

I don't know about a religious thread though, I think there are a
lot less religion threads than political threads. And religion threads
    are much more fun. :p

I think you're right, the people who don't usually get involved could really benefit from some exposure to debate, and at the same time keep it from being didactic vs. didactic.

RE: The Free Data Party Thread.

Could one of the Mods move the IFDP party thread into the Politics Forum?

    Thanx.
