    Hello,

I recently purchased a Radeon X800 XT for my dual 2 GHz PowerMac. The new graphic card works beautifully until I try to wake my computer from sleep. The computer starts up for about 30 seconds and then goes back to sleep. It keeps doing this, and the only way I can get back to work is if I hold the power button down until the computer turns off and then restart. Any suggestions? Would a driver, or the reinstallation of the packaged ATI software help?

    Thanks in advance!

Mine doesn't do that...I don't think reinstalling would help, but ATI does have firmware updates for the X800; you could try that.

I'm on ATI's site right now, but where do I get these firmware updates? I tried typing "firmware" into the search bar on their site...but it doesn't give me any links to download the update, just an explanation of what the update does.

I almost didn't want to answer this since you bumped it after, what, 25 minutes, and it was only about the fifth post from the top even before you did, but anyway:

ati.com -> Customer Care -> Drivers and Software - > MacOS -> ROM Updates down at the bottom of the list. You can also grab the latest ATI Displays control panel and the drivers for retail cards for your OS--you probably aught to install both, to be safe.

Their site is actually pretty well organized, I thought.

Did that. Nothing seems to be working--I even downloaded the "hotfix" that was supposed to be specifically made to fix the problem. Any more suggestions?
