Newbie...Firefox Java plugin help needed

I am new to Mac and fell in love with it from day one.

I have a MBP 17" 2GB 120.

I am having a problem with Firefox. I downloaded it and installed it and all went fine until I was looking a page that had java in it and firefox crashed. Did some research and found a plug in for it and attempted to install it.

Has any one done this yet? If so can you help me out.

I did a quick search but time on the internet is precious here in Iraq, so sorry if I offend any one for a double post.

You need to install the JavaEmbeddingPlugin to allow Firefox and other browsers (except Safari) use Java 1.4.z and above.

Try http://www.macupdate.com/ or http://www.versiontracker.com/
