    hello,

I want to create an image of a folder which is 1.3 megs big. I went to disk utility and created a new image. But the only option is 2.5 megs, is it possible to create a image the same size of the folder which I would like to drop into the image.

    Much thanks

Can you select Custom at the bottom of the drop down list and then enter your size from there? :)

...or use a sparseimage instead of a regular disk image, and make it as large as you like. It will only use the space of whatever you put in it (plus a bit for administration).

Just drag the folder onto the Disk Utility icon in the dock.
