Hey. I just had a quick question. I just got a Mac for the first time, a new Powerbook G4, and one problem I'm having is downloading files that ARE NOT .dmg.

.sit files and .exe cannot be opened, because it says there is no application that can be associated with it. Does anyone know of a good program that can get that would allow me to download the programs I need? Or know what I need to do?

Any advice would be welcome. I am getting completely frustrated with the whole process.

to open .sit files you need to download Stuffit Expander, it's free, just google it.

.exe are windows executable files and therefore won't run on a Mac except for under Virtual PC
