One of my friends sent me an IM to go watch some Homestar flash movies. I realized that I don't get any sound from flash anything in Safari 2.0. Has anyone else encountered this?

I need my Strong Bad fix..

I have the same problem in FireFox and Opera. It's not just Safari.

Yep, just started happening to me. It happens in the Flash Player Plugin / Flash Player. Started happening randomly. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, trying different browsers, trying the actual player, repairing permissions, logging in to a diff account, no luck.

I'm at loss. Especially since I work with Flash all day.

I once lost my system sounds including Flash in browsers and had to open then quit Garageband (resetting core audio) to get the sound working again. I'm not sure that it'll help here, but it may be worth a try. :)

Launching Garageband fixed the issue oddly enough..

    Yay! :)

I'm still trying to find a less tin-pot way of resetting core audio though.

That is a ghetto fix for that problem.
