I will be. The portability is fantastic.
I had three use case test and two of which has passed.
1. Does it fit in my jacket pocket? Yes
2. Does it display a letter size PDF file nicely without zooming? (Using PDF Expert, yes)
3. Does it allow me to read from Zite in bed for long durations? Pending
All signs point to yes but unless it satisfy all three, I won't be keeping it.
Same here. It will compliment my 11" MBA nicely...where as my old 9.7" iPad just covered too much of the same ground.
Oh boy I am!

Yes, it does everything I want it to
Yes, it filled the gap that the full size iPad couldn't. between my iPhone 5 and my MBA 11". Its the perfect product. I don't care if it's not retina, I'd rather have killer battery life for now.
Undecided. I love the form factor/weight=portability, ease of use, etc. I dislike the resolution strongly. Yes I knew it was not going to be retina, but I had to see it to understand what I was giving up in terms of readability and for what. Well, the portability is amazing. I don't think I can go back to a ~1.5lb iPad 3/4 (I didn't keep the 3 in the first place for numerous reasons) but at the same time, I'm having a difficult time deciding whether I need to keep a portable 8 in device with fuzzy font.
Abso friggin lutely
It's what I've always wanted. And I never knew that I wanted it. Feels like an iTouch and performs as a usual iPad.
It's been a satisfying upgrade from a iPad 3 to an iPad mini in my mind. That's how I see it.
Definitely, ideal middle ground machine. iPhone 5 - iPad Mini - 11.6 ultrabook.
I should, I paid a little over $310 shipped for it direct from Apple, so I have nothing to complain about.
No one is taking this from me.
It fits perfectly in the back of my jeans. I dont feel like im lugging something around under my arm like my ipad 3.
Me + Ipad mini = love
Yes...this is the size I always hoped it would be. Small and light weight. Love it.
A big YES!# Absolutely love it!
Nope. Screen is a big fail for me. That and the fact that mine had some debris under the screen. Very annoying.
So when is Samsung going to start copying 7.9" form factor?
I just picked up the ipad mini black 16gb and I'm undecided if I'm gonna keep it or just return it for an ipad 4. This ipad mini is amazing. I have an ipad 2 by the way.
you do know Samsung already had a Galaxy Tab 7.7" and many other sizes long long before iPad mini was released?
Keeping mines already knew the screen would not be like my iPad3 but wanted a smaller iPad.
No - I won't be keeping it. I actually like the size and form but the screen is a let down. Putting it next to an iPad 3 and iPhone 5 you can really see a difference that I just couldn't justify paying £349 for.
I can understand people keeping it for the size alone but hey, each to their own!
If you're putting it up against the iPad 3/iPhone 5 the screen is definitely going to look worse. The bottom line is, whether its worth paying that much money for a non-retina tablet. For some it is, for you it may not - best to get the product that fits your needs and budget
