    1. Device support?

iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPad 4, iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 and iPod touch 5G will sure made into the list. Question is more tricky with iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad Mini, iPad 3.

So, my guess is all iPhone 4S, iPad Mini, iPad 2, iPad 3 will get iOS 8 but with reduced feature.

iPhone 4 gets iOS 4, iOS 5, iOS 6, iOS 7. Judging from this and iPhone 4S is still on sale until next year, iPhone 4S probably will get iOS 8. So iPhone 4S gets iOS 5, iOS 6, iOS 7 and iOS 8. iPad mini should get iOS 8 since iPad mini starts at iOS 6. First gen. iPad gets iOS 3, iOS 4, iOS 5, so iOS 8 probably will be the last one goes to iPad Mini. Since iPad Mini gets similar hardware with iPad 2, i guess iPad 2 will also get iOS 8. iPad 3 will most likely gets iOS 8 as well.

iPhone 4 will be dropped for sure.

    2. Feature

More inter-app communication is needed. I want send my picture not only to per-set service provider, but service provider at my choice.

One centralized file manager. All the files goes to one place, including downloaded file. This makes all short of app possible and at connivence of users.

Offline dictation. Google offers offline dictation on Android device and OS X Mavericks offers offline dictation as well.

Offline Siri and open Siri API.

Offline Map solution. Google Maps offer offline map. It is nice in case you have go aboard and you don't have data service in foreign nations.

    Keyboard enticement is needed.

That's all I can think of by now
