NPD: Media player sales down save for iPod

    I'm curious to see the sales figures for the entire holiday season. If the trend held up, I guess it calls into serious question the Zune "demand" that was expected.

    However, what still remains to be known is how the iPhone fared through this Christmas season.

    There wasn't really a demand. The old one dropped in price, and it was so cheap, buying temporarily spiked. They didn't make that many of the new one, and made it seem like demand was outstripping supply. There were probably still too many manufactured.
