Okay - so this isn't a normal place to look for employees... but HELP!!!!

I'm the IT manager of an OB/GYN office in Upland, CA. We lost one of our docs last month - she moved back east. Now I just got hit with this; We are loosing one more. We are now down to 2 MDs and 2 NPs. (down from 4 MDs and 4 NPs)

This is killing us. The docs are now seeing 65~70 clients a day! That's one every 6 minutes! This isn't good for business, as they used to spend 10~12 minutes with each one. Not only that but we deliver 100~110 babies every month. Now the 2 MD's are on call every other night.

So, after 2 months of failing to find a new doc (now looking for two) I'm putting out a plea to my fellow MacFreaks.

If you know any OB/GYN M.D.'s or Nurse Practitioners that are interested in working for one of the largest (and most technologically advanced) OB/GYN offices in Southern California, PLEASE let me know.

Normally I wouldn't get involved in this part of the business, but they are talking about cutting the staff from 37 to about 17. I know I'm safe, as we rely so heavily on our 3 servers and network, but it does mean a lot less work for me, and more stress around the office.

So again, if you are (or know someone) who is an OB/GYN or Nurse Practitioner in the OB field, please shoot me a PM.

    Thanks

    BT

One of the oddest threads ever.

Just don't take any from my hospital since they are leaving left and right to go to South Shore

And there has to be a reason why half of your doctors and NPs left.

    It's all about drama...

Well, one MD moved back east to be near family.
One MD just gave notice that she is starting her own practice. (Only been an MD for two years, she didn't like the buy-in deal offered to her)
One NP was fired for writing scripts for her sister....(you can guess what for..)
The other NP couldn't handle a fast paced office, not to mention she couldn't deal with a digital patent file.. (All tablet PC's, no more paper)

Yeah. I would wonder though if being one would get a guy so sick of looking at the naughty bits that sex becomes a chore.

For that, all you need is a frigid girlfriend. :(

By your logic, strippers would put themselves out of business.

Are amateur OB/GYNs allowed to apply? ;)

Then again, being in the medical laser business, I got to see the horrifying side of that trade. *shudders*

On second thought, I'm out. Thanks anyhow. :)

Apparently not. At least not for all of them. My wife's OB/GYN is a young hotshot guy, him and his wife have 3 1/2 kids already...

Just curious. How much does this position pay? I know some gyn docs but they would want to know salary / hours info. PM me if you want.

Would they have to provide their own malpractice insurance?

Just wanting to point out that this thread is well over a year old, so the OB/GYN offer may no longer stand.

    What a weird thread... :D

Haven't any you seen the news lately?

He has 1 complete kid, and one with a semi-conjoined-partial twin.

    Obviously.

It appears, they can fix that now, b.t.w., according to CNN.
