Good luck -- and let us know how you make out!

And don't forget to take the "insurance" behind the "pass line" -- it's the best bet in the house!

The most important thing is to have money that you can afford to loose. Somebody has to win so it might as well be you. I personally wouldn't, just couldn't tolerate the loss. Have you been successful at this before?

All very true. I'm a big fan of online poker, and have been doing very well as of late.
It's amazing how poorly some people play at blackjack. With optimum strategy the house edge is almost always less than 0.5%.
It's funny to go into bookstores and read the $3.95 books on "How to win at slots." Just a bunch of horse hockey about "protecting wins" and other bull. Funny stuff. I wonder why it only costs $3.95
I recently decided to try and pick up card counting. I've always been very good at math and enjoy probability-type things. The book I got was Knock-Out Blackjack by Ken Fuchs and Olaf Vancura. The system is quite simple to learn and compares very favorably with other professional level systems. I have yet to actually try it out in a casino, but I have been practicing online and with a real deck of cards to improve my speed.
