"Advocating the violent overthrow of a sovereign[ non oil-producing] state is unacceptable and we condemn these comments unreservedly."
but russia has plenty of oil and natural gas
and is exactly why Mr. Berezovsky is a billionaire
I'm guessing that's why he said "[non oil-producing]"...
Now just wait a second. Russia has never invaded anyone like Afghanistan...
Didn't they go in "at the request of the Afghan government"? They usually do.
i see you've been reading "the history of the world" by george bush.
Is Britain still housing that Chechen warlord/freedom fighter/terrorist?
Akhmed Zakayev. I couldn't remember his name.
not that it matters much, but the comment would only make sense if russia was not an oil producer, so that the 'corrected' hypocritical comment by Straw would apply to Berezovsky/Russia, but not to UK/Iraq
hrm...? That WAS a wink at the end of that.
If I recall correctly (it's been about 8 years since I took this particular part of history class) Russia invaded Afghanistan in 79, and again 84...
yes, i forgot my wink-i was right with ya...i'm slippin up in my old age.
