    I don't know this is a bug, a feature, or something else. In Lion, when you open apps they will show their icons on the dock. Now the dock is just static. No matter how many apps you open the doc stay the same (unless you minimized window). So now if I hide the app I have no way to bring it back. :confused:
    If it is a feature, how can I get it back. I checked the dock preference but just couldn't find it.

    ----------

    Forget it. I restarted and it's there. Weird.

    It's a bug. I had this problem with both the whole dock and also one or two applications in the dock. The light indicator gets stuck on regardless if I quit the app.

    Duh, it happens again today and I have to restart again. It's getting a bit annoying. Can't believe I'm the only one who experienced this.

    It's happened to me twice since upgrading to ML. Dock seems to freeze and newly opened applications do not show up. Only solution was to restart. I hope this will be addressed in 10.8.1.

    Restart your Mac/Dock

    [Terminal] -> killall Dock

    ----------

    Yep, I don't have this issue...In fact, I don't seem to have any of the issues listed in this forum except maybe the flickering cursor when Pressing:

    (Ctrl)+CMD+Shift+4

    This is a good idea. Will try it next time it happens.

    Actually it was a bad idea. When you quit dock the dock isn't restarted. Now you have all the desktops san dock. :(
