This is a rather complicated question I have. I use itunes as a music and sound file reservoir. I also used iTunes to listen to music at home and to load up my iPod shuffle and listen on the go. I have many CDs that I would like to re-import as WAV files so I can enjoy full fidelity music on my speakers at home but also I would wish to have all mp3 files to load my ipod with. Is there any way I can have something like two itunes setups where one is for listening at home and the other is for loading up my iPod? This will especially be more important whenever I upgrade to a higher capacity iPod. Any ideas would be great thanks! :)

    2 ways:

    1. You'll have to switch to manual iPod updating, and use Smart Playlists to segregate .AAC from .AIFF.

    2. Make a Smart Playlist to round up all your .AIFF files. Command-click on the selection boxes to turn off the check mark. In the iPod preferences, turn on automatic updating of selected files only.

Command click on selection boxes! Amazing! I knew there had to be an easier way than to click each on separately...

    Yes I'm really that stupid
