OS 9.2 was shipped with Quicksilver

Hi guys,

Im sitting here, Saturday morning Australian time and our Demo G4 733 has OS 9.2 on it out of the box...

Whats the deal.. Did i miss something?????

I guess that Apple released it only as an update specific to the new hardware, even though it will install on other computers. Perhaps there are some bugs - i.e. carbonLib or video drivers - in 9.2 that they want to fix before a widespread release? My guess is that 9.2.1 will be released in a couple of months as an update for everyone else running 9.1.

Yup apple needed to put on 9.2 on the QuickSilver

It would not have a Special Function that was needed. The 9.2 you see is only the beging of the real 9.2

I certainly miss the open it up and stick your head in it part of selling macs. It was always cool to be able to guess why stuff like that happened just examining the guts. Sigh.

Not the smell, the oppertunity to have a job-decription that includes second-guessing Apple. Not in the competative sense, just in the curiosity and R&D tracking sense. It was always nice to be able to stop and smell the roses in depth.
