I have an old Powermac G5 I was thinking of turning into a server for my classroom. Before I go too far into it, will El Capitan be able to work peacefully with OS X Leopard Server? I have looked over the posts and I haven't seen anything but I may have missed one.

Thanks in Advance!

I'm thinking it would allow authentication with OpenDirectory, but I don't think it'd be able to do much else with ElCap clients. Any web-based services would work, but managed preferences with Workgroup Manager are deprecated in ElCap (since 10.8 I think actually) and I'm not sure if it'd be able to host a NetBoot set with ElCap.

If you just want centralized logins with perhaps Home folders stored on the server, I think you can probably get that working at least.
