OSX Fake Finder

    :cool: I have just discovered a strange thing is OSX on my Powerbook (I haven't looked at my other machines yet) but in the folder - System:Library:CoreServices: There are two finders!

    One says in the get info pane: Mac OS X Finder X.12
    The other says: Mac OS X Fake Finder 10.0

    Whats this on about (See attachment)

    that's quite interesting....

    I wish I knew more about X to be able to know what that is....

    1 Classic

    One of them is a classic app. Must be something to do with Classic!

    I bet that the fake finder is for running in classic mode when booted into OS X. Just a hunch

    It does seem to look like classic, have you noticed that it says fake finder which is not sensible, therefore an EASTER EGG!!!

    what happened to apples no easter egg policy!

    Yeah...

    ...I noticed that. There's some other strange stuff in that folder, I can't remember what.

    If you show package contents you can see and edit programs really well.

    I have got a wierd dock now!!!

    you can do some funky stuff with that folder
    so be careful

    Thanks for reminding me, I should backup my macs before playing!
