osx sound glitch

My powerbook has this problem.. heres a scenario, I command-shift-3 screenshot, and right as the 'shutter' sound goes off, i hear this loud "GLTCHR". it happens when i drag stuff out of th dock and instead of 'poof' i hear "GLTCHR!!!!!" and sometimes when i send an ichat message or recieve one- itll go "GLITCHR!!!" and sometimes it like stops other sounds on my comp, such as itunes sound, until i pause then play again. Any ideas why it does this? 10.4.2

Weird. If it sounds like it's a hardware glitch then try resetting your PMU however this won't help if it's an OS glitch.
