overclock CD MBP GPU

maybe i'm not doing this the right way...

so i was in XP, using ATI tray tools... when i was trying to find the max core speed and the max ram, the screen just turned completely black after some moments... and i had to force restart... is this normal?

can someone tell me a proper way to do that or to overclock? thanks

It would seem you overclocked as far as your particular chip can handle.

Maybe it reached it's max operating temperature and shut off. You can only overclock it so much.

i thought it's supposed to go until it finds artifects, and start lowering it... there was no artifacts, just going smoothly, and "crash"
