Thomas Perrier who wrote the wonderful little ATicellerator II application has renamed it "Graphiccelerator"

Why? Because now you can overclock some nVidia cards as well... it looks like it's pretty limited right now, but I bet the number of supported cards goes up quickly. He's done a nice job with the ATicellarator so I would expect good things. See it here:

Christ... if what ThermographX is telling me is right, overclocking the thing will really roast the general. Moreso than it does already!

The GF4 Ti 4200 is better. Almost anything is. I know from personal experience.

You won't find a budget card that beats the ti4200, even now, Mac or PC. They last forever.

My friend just gave me one for free to replace my aging ATI Radeon 7500 64. I love it!
But it is the most powerfull card I have ever really gamed on, how does it compare to the ATI Rs 9600 9700 9800 and the 9200 9250.

Yeah, mine's great too. All I need is a motherboard to plug the bloody thing into

The 9600, and above are a newer generation of card. They'll outperform it, though in some DX8.1 stuff (on the PC side, of course) it still holds its own quite well with the 9600.

9000 and 9200... etc, etc. Pants. You may want to check out the benchmarks at http://graphics.tomshardware.com/

    It's not 128mb on the mac. It's 64 (the 5200, not the 4200)

The 4200 might be worth overclocking. To a point, anyway.

The 5200 from my experience will overclock enough to gain 1 to 3 FPS in doom 3 at low resolutions before it starts to display corrupt textures.

while that may be a 10-30% increase in FPS, when you're dealing with single-digit speeds, it isn't like going from 25 to 40 fps...
