My air should be here today, and I'm starting to wonder about how I migrate stuff to it from my imac?

I don't think I want to move everything, as my imac is the main machine. But I would like to move email settings and messages, internet bookmarks and perhaps a couple of other things. Also my music and photos, keeping iphoto 08 and itunes events/playlists etc. My docs I can just copy across

also, how do you go about making sure documents are synced between the two? Should I plan to move them to a network drive? My music doesn't change very often so I'm planning to have that stored locally on both imac and MBA for easy access. But photos and docs do change

.mac synch is an easy way to move basic stuff. use file sharing to copy anything else you want. this technique worked well for me.
