 sorry guys if some has posted this before but im really stressed.

i got ibook G4, but theres one thing my uncle who gave it to me cant remember the damn password.

i got the tiger OS CD but i cant do anything cos the damn is unix based with extra securtiy (sucks). it wont let me install the bitch

im trying to do a clean install on the system but i cant because im using a test user acount that i can log on to but i cant do much with that. i cant even change a dvd region in this account. basically it useless.

isnt there any boot disks like in windows where by you can just boot up in DOS or in console and just format the hard drive. then use the tiger cd to boot and install.

some plz help me.

Gah! Plymouth
just hold down C when you startup and you can change the admin password.

However if there is a firmware password then you are pretty screwed, i believe.

I believe you can boot with the system disks, but do not run install! Use Disk Utility to erase/re-partion the drive. Once that is done you should have no problem re-installing a fresh copy of os x.

been there an done it
