I have I Flash file that has an .exe extension that I need to look at and maybe do some work on for a client on my Mac.
It works fine on a Windows machine (of course) showing up as a Flash icon. Do I need to export it from PC Flash MX as an .swf?

If it is an exe, then it is already a compiled flashviewer application for windows. You won't be able to simply re-export it. You will need the original .fla file.

I just found the programs: Gordon and swf to fla converter

They decompiled the .exe and if I pay for either program, they will export as editable Flash files. Good to know.

Be warned: those programs are not always completely accurate. It's always best to have the original source file.
