I like that framing there Mr. A. ;)

Here's a little something I pulled off last weekend while layed up with my knee on a Saturday night. (sorry for another self portrait, but I wasn't prepared!)

    uuhhh... ;)

I had a tripod & 5 sec delay on the shutter for that one. I really need a cable release though.

That's one thing i really need as well. Even a cable release with the timer works well too. My old Minolta had a electronic shutter release with about 20' of cord, it was great.

I'm thinking I might get an IR shutter release when I get the 10D....make life so much easier. Is that available for the D100? You could get some great candid shots of people, just set the camera up and sit across the room or several feet away and they'd not know they were being photo'd.

Actually, I don't think it is available for the D100. I've looked around & not come up with anything. Maybe Moxie knows for sure?

Actually the 10D has a cable, but the 300D has the wireless....another reason to wait for the 10Ds replacement and it gives me even more faith that it will be coming soon.

Wireless would be a nice feature to have.

There is something available though. ML-2 Modulite

There's a wireless cable release (actually infrared) that is made for the d100.

I duno the model #but nikonusa has info i'm sure.

Or you could (as I did) just get a plunger release—the screw in the shutter kind. Cheap!

The way I look at it, I can use mine (6ft) for when i'm out and about and when I need something longer I can just tether it to the laptop and control shutter from there. :D

A photo I took in Coshocton, Ohio along side the road.

I have it in 1600x1200 if any wants it for their desktop. :)

    Edited for weak of stomach.

Eh. I don't need to fool anyone. FYI, that shot was 99% from the cam—just a little USM in PS to sharpen.

I'm not big on spending time retouching. Would rather get things right the first time. ;)

honestly mike, I was just giving you crap for fun...sort of following on eye's remarks - its a great shot - sorry if you took it the wrong way - but you've established yourself well enough that there really isn't a question of whether any of the pics you post aren't going to be good....

Oh, it stunk so bad... I held my breath as I got in close...

I was doing a job for the County Engineer up there, I was sitting on the side of the road observing a point for about 4 hours... I got bored, started snapping photos.. flowers, trees... an old abandoned house.. really pretty stuff.. and then I smelt something awefull.. I tracked it down and took a photo of it. :)

Moxiemike : great link.. I'm about 3hours way from Coshocton normally, but if you're ever in the neighborhood, I'll come up and we can check out some of those sites!

No. I was just waiting for Tazo to jump in and make a comment and all hell to break loose in the photo III thread. So I figured it was a nice time to share my slacker workflow anyway.

    heh.
