Photoshop: asterix in the document title?

    In Photoshop, what does the asterix mean in the document title? e.g. (CMYK/8*)

    It means that the file is in a different colour space, has a different colour profile, than the one that is your current standard setting.

    Maybe not quite what you meant ?

    If you were thinking of "*" - this is an ASTERISK

    If however you were thinking of this:

    http://www.asterix.de/e4/e16/e494/asterix-obelix.gif

    Then this is ASTERIX !
