    Hi,

Whenever I copy and paste an layer from one image to another in photoshop it always puts it in the dead centre of the canvas.

If there a way to move a layer and make it keep the same X and Y co-ordinates it had on the previous canvas?

    Many Thanks.

Use Layer->Duplicate Layer for that. It lets you choose a different open image as the destination.

Try this hold shift and drag the desired layer from the layers palette anywhere into the other photoshop document.

Keep in mind it will only post in the same X & Y as the copied document.

In other words the documents have to be the same size and resolution.
