My wife wants a GL550 so bad. But she keeps getting knocked up somehow , and now we have too many kids to use it as the family car lol. You can't get 5 car seats in that thing. Guess she's stuck with a minivan now!

I would say thanks, but she does all the real hard work with the kids! She is a tough and strong woman, and she definitely deserves that car. Maybe some day I will be able to get it for her.

It is indeed the Rainey curve. We chased each other around the track some that day Fwiw I sold my BMW after i bought the R, but I am an active member of the club participating in their autocross program and I am a car control instructor with the club.

I just ordered a brand new Volkswagen UP TSI! I recently graduated with my masters degree as an engineer and need a car for my new job. So I am very excited about this I have only ever had one other car, a 1990 VW Golf Mk II. So this is a big step for me

They are nice little cars. My mom has one (the standard 60 bhp version) which is quite nice to drive, although quite sluggish. So I am looking forward to the speedier version. I also have a soft spot for small cars, so I hope and think I will be happy with this one.

(I live in Denmark and here small cars are a lot more convenient than larger ones)

What foam lance and soap do you use?

I'm looking to simplify (and expedite) my car washing to fewer steps. I've been looking at Gilmour's Foamaster II.

Late to the game. Just noticed this thread.

Had this wagon for a long time! Worked well for 4 kids, the lab, and luggage. Kids referred to it as "the boat".
