Does anyone know if Starcraft:Broodwar can play fine on Intel Macs? (and on MacBook, to be specific)

i often play Broodwar with my friends in my home, with Windows laptops of course, using IPX/SPX protocol.

but i'm going to get rid of my laptop soon because it is starting to die (it's 5-6 years old now) so i'll only have a MacBook left.

and i'm wondering if Broodwar can be played fine on it? my Broodwar CD is a PC-only version, so i'll have to go out & buy a OSX version of it, but before i do that, i want to make sure it'll work on the MacBook.

Starcraft runs just fine via Rosetta. You'll have to download the OS X installer though. Are you SURE your discs are Windows only? Mine aren't...

yes, i am sure. i bought it in Korea, years ago, so it's PC only.

in the worst case, does anyone know if it'll play under BootCamp?

I'd be surprised if you can't play it under Parallels. It'll run fine on OS X or Windows.

It's weird that Blizzard would make a PC only disc for Korea while the discs in the US are okay for both Windows and Mac.

    I got the impression it wasn't blizzard-made.

Anyway, Starcraft almost ran fine on my 88mhz apple, so I'm sure a 3660mhz mac should be able to run it half-decently ;)
