I'm trying to play my music from my ipod through a computer that doesn't have my library on it.
I know I've done this before by going to manually manage music and then clicking the down arrow next to my ipod in iTunes, but I just can't seem to get it to work now. All the songs become "playable" but when I try to play them, nothing happens.

If that's all purchased stuff have you tried authorizing the computer? Have you upgraded those songs to iTunes Plus with no DRM? Same thing happens if you tried to play protected music through the iTunes shared library feature.
