Has anyone played CS Source on Bootcamp or Parallels? How does it run?

Parallels won't work, no access to hardware for 3D.

In Boot Camp... it's Windows. It plays like it would in Windows, because it's Windows.

Plays perfectly. Valves games (at least before the HDR stuff) were always more CPU than GPU intensive, so they fly on C2D processors.

I run CS 1.6 on my core duo MacBook through CrossOver, I only have 512MB RAM and it plays perfectly on low settings, will probably be able to put it up to medium or maybe even high settings with a RAM upgrade.

Cool, but that's CS, not CSS ;) A pre-2000 game working isn't all that suprising

Yeah I know it takes hardly anything to run 1.6, was just throwing in some info on counterstrike as a whole :)

As pointed out, avoid Parallels, but through Bootcamp it runs just as you'd expect it to in Windows.

I installed Windows via Bootcamp on my Mac Pro, and so far I've tried UT2k4, HL2, CS:S, and BF2142 and they all run amazingly even with the base graphics card :)

Definitely go Bootcamp if you're gonna play games!
