Either way, I'm off to fill my 1 hour a day addiction of Half Life 2 Deathmatch :D

But look at the sample size, ten male, college students? I might pay more attention if the sample was a bit more diverse.

I can see the reflexes being sharpen but eyesight....I'm still wearing glasses for goodness sake and I've been playing games since the days of stickman.

Maybe I should play without my glasses?

its not saying that your actual vision will improve. its saying that your ability to discern objects in a mess/fast moving environment is improved.

This news is old, it came out last month. :p

    Faux News. *LOL* :D

They even skewed this article. BASTARDS!!! The game doesn't need to be violent, just a high action game. And to be more anal, "Untreal Tournament" was used for the study, not those thumb-twiddling additions. :p

I can see why Tetris wouldn't do it, since it requires you become focused on one area and visually things really don't change much.

I think I have this article (this time from The Times) being used as a bookmark somewhere when it was published a month or 2 ago...

Yup, found it :) The reason why the sample is so small is because they were struggling to find "clean" subjects who didn't spend hours playing games anyway

Basically Teenage boys can rest assured knowing that one joystick waggle can improve their eyesight, whilst the other damages it ;)

    LOL.

Does it help college men discriminate better from a distance as well, as from up on a high tower looking down at all the ants and picking out the best ones?
