1.does anyone know how to turn off the suspend on the mac os. (After mac idles for a while it locks on its own. After you log in back all your programs [downloads / windows etc] are all closed. is there anyway you can not do that! so that way i can download some thing yet the screens been locked and wont go on suspend.)

2. the other is can you redirect your root folder for my pictures to some other location.

The "suspend" you're talking about is probably the logout after X minutes option. You can change or disable this option under the Security section of your system prefs.


Moving the Pictures folder can be done using a symbolic link.
