Please oh god...help me!! (iBook screen)

    i have a mac ibook..and the screen is like halfway on there..and halfway not..the left two inches of the screen is blue...and everything is blurry except the background....please please help me

    Sounds like a hardware issue. Take it back to Apple. Have you dropped the machine or anything like that?

    i have never dropped it...is there any way to fix it now....cuz i really need my computer right now

    Sorry, I'm not God ... cannot help you, and you may be on hold for a long long time.

    But with iBooks and screen problems, look to see if your machine is in the extended warranty program.

    i am doing an important video edit...and i have not saved the work and i cant see anything on the screen....i took out the battery...and i rebooted twice....by the way...i am on another computer

    Do you have an external monitor you could hook up to the iBook?

    Do you have another Mac and a firewire cable, or the mini-DVI -> VGA adapter?

    At this point I think you can safely assume that you've lost your work.

    Try the external monitor as suggested.

    How did the screen 'fall off' in the middle of a video edit?
