"Please quit iTunes before continuing with this update"

    Only problem is, iTunes is not running. (No little black triangle in the dock, and I even restarted iTunes and did a force quit). The Software Update still thinks it's running. (Updating to 7.1.1 of iTunes, along with 4 other updates)

    What to do?

    no widgets with itunes controlers running either ? log out and restart the update

    A simple log out and back in should fix this. If that fails, restart your Mac.

    OK, y'all fixed it. My son's logon session was still running. THANKS!!
