You may have already seen the new Geico "cavemen" commercial...catchy tune too. Geico says they may continue producing the cavemen ads...what do you think?

On a related note, the long Geico cavemen "trailer" with the explosions at the end on Youtube is strange...is it a spoof of the commercials or what?

Sounds like Royksopp. The ad's okay, but not as good IMO as the others I've seen (the dinner outing and the commercial filming). I haven't seen the third one I don't believe...

It was good the first, I don't know, 1500 times I saw it. Now it is stupid. But, they've kept things fresh with the CEO putting on the gecko suit and thanking everybody in the DC area personally. The fact that they started airing it during the massive rainstorms that we got a few months ago and he was walking around in the rain hugging people and getting suit dye on them was great. The alien followup wasn't bad either.

Yeah, I think that one's my favorite. If this new one is the fourth, I'll have to watch the third, as I've only seen that one and the dinner one...

I don't like them at all- I much preferred the gekko ones.

I reall, really liked the gekko ones from an animation standpoint- they did a tremendous job animating that little guy. Every gekko commercial has one little thing that he does- wether he scratches his arm, flics something off the table, points at people off the cameram lots of little things, - that make me smile every time.

Waitaminit - you're tell me that's not a real trained gekko? :( Next you'll be saying Santa Claus isn't real either.

We all know Santa is real. I saw him at the mall doing photoshoots last christmas so I know for a fact. :D

I never heard of those other Geico ads with the alien or the CEO. I've just seen the Gekko ones and 2 Caveman ads lately.

I used to like the Gekko ones when they first aired many many years ago, but the ads don't amuse me anymore like they used to. Their commericals are typically great and like iGary said it gets people talking about it.

And in my case, they sold me on car insurance ;)

No, he's real- I saw him once drinking at a bar in a mall. Honestly. That's just wrong.

    Touche

But, while looking for the CEO ads, I did come notice the "regular people with celebrities" series. Those are a good mix - some I haven't liked since I first saw them, others I still get a kick out of

Never gets old. They've been showing it for years with different phrases, but it still gets your attention.

I'm fine with the cavemen. It was better before, but now it's just getting kind of old. Might be time to retire it soon.
