Nope, $999 is a nice even number. You may get more features, but I think the $999 and $1999 starting prices for the ibook and pbook will stay.
ibook pricing will stay the same. if they want something in the low price market, they will introduce a new line. I also think that they will have something for people who need more power than the ibooks but less than powerbooks (MBPs). That also might be a sub-compact. but i'm not sure. its not like a work for apple.
No. If intel chip is cheaper than G4, they will put a better GPU in it, better drive, HD to keep the price at 1000$
999 seems like a sweet spot that Apple hopes to keep. Personally I feel like laptops under 999 sacrifice worthy processors, innards, monitors(i.e. Inspirions)
No becuz i bet intel chips will be more the G4's were
and i doubt it will be an iBook bbut a MacBook
Hey, there WAS an $800 ibook... for two weekends last month... on Amazon.
Glad I caught that deal.
Me too! And re: sub $1000 iBook - yep, by $1, i.e. it'll stay at $999.00
$999 is an odd number. $1000 would be an even number
Question: Will Apple Make an iBook for Less Than $1000?
Yes. It will be $999 or less.
