I've only got pics back to 2002 when I got my first digital camera, but before that I've had tons of Macs.

This one is when I lived in Seattle in 2002. There's a 400MHz Pismo, 350Mhz (overclocked to 400MHz) B&W, a 200MHz PowerComputing PowerTower Pro (Mac Clone), a Athlon XP 1800+ in the silver case, and a Celeron 600MHz without a case. All the systems were hooked up to the 15" Sony Multisync Monitor. Also an Epson Stylus Photo 780 printer.

10ll.jpg

Next is later in 2002 when I had moved back to the bay area after finishing school. You can see the Pismo again, as well as the back of a Shuttle SS40G with an Athlon XP 2500+, and a Dual 600MHz 1U rackmount server I was setting up with FreeBSD. The Shuttle was attached to a cheap Envision 19" monitor. The Pismo in the foreground was my girlfriend's 500MHz Pismo.

28aj.jpg

In 2003 I found a cheap cube on craigslist.org, bought a 20" Cinema Display, a white Apple Pro Keyboard, a MS Wireless Optical Mouse, and a 20GB iPod. But I sold my Pismo.

35wl.jpg

Later on I moved to a new apartment. Got a Epson C82. And got a roomate.
The computers on the left are his (Dual 450MHz G4, 600MHz iBook), Athlon XP 2000+, and you see my Girlfriend's Pismo again (she is the one sitting in the chair). The airport extreme basestation is mine, I got that right when it came out. My Shuttle and Envision monitor are in another room.

46ho.jpg

Here I moved again (out of the bay area :( ). You can see my Cube again, and the Envision monitor. I also started putting up a picture that I had rasturbated. And there is an iSight on top of the monitor.

50pb.jpg

Finally is my current setup. My brand new Dual 2GHz G5. Gone is the Shuttle and the Cube (well they're in the other room now). And you can see the complete rasturbation. The cell phone you see is a SonyEricsson T637 and next to it is a HBH-65. I'm hoping to trade in my old cinema display for a new 20" soon. (Note: I'm still using the same mouse and keyboard as I did with the Cube)

My 'temp' setup

This is my current Mac setup, my PC desk is too messy to bring on here! I call it temp because I am hoping to get a real corner desk soon! :D

some nice setups here. well, any with a shiny new G5 and Cinema Display... will be nice. :D

here's my old setup:
MYsetup-02.jpg

that was pretty crowded, and that monitor wasn't a dual-screen setup unfortunately, because it really sucked, what a shocking monitor.

and here's an pic from a couple of months ago, when my bro was building another PC. that's the new case on the right, with the new LCD on the right up on the table. now that's a screen that i sometimes use for a dual setup with my PB. :D
PCsetup_oldish.jpg

i'll post the 'new' pics when i get around to them... later today. (hopefully)

still, a bit of mess around, but oh well. i'm sure i'll clean it up sooner or later. probably later. :p

and hiding behind the PB...

MYsetup-new2.jpg

a couple of external HD's. :D one is a 250GB, the other an 80GB in a cheap enclosure came out of an old PC.

and here's the current PC setup:

alot cleaner than mine. still the same spot, just a different angle. this is the DesertCombar rig, and my bro plays on the other new compy downstairs, we use the intercom function on the cordless phones to coordinate our plans. :D

My first mac; an iMac G5! :D

Specs:
1.8GHz 20" iMac G5
1GB Ram (2x512 running Dual-Channel)
250GB Hard Drive
Airport Extreme
Internal Bluetooth Module with Keyboard and Mouse

iMac when it's not in use. (screen sleeps after 5 mins, runs 24/7)

iMac when it is in use:

These pics are a couple of weeks old now; I'll be taking newer ones when I get my graphics tablet. (Pearl White 6x8 Graphire3)

I'm surprised how quickly I have adjusted to the new OS; after a day with my mac and having to fix problems on the PC in the house things just didn't feel "right"

I had a 5 button mouse with my old PC, and didn't think I'd be able to do without it, but due to the more intuitive keyboard and mouse system in OSX I can get by with a 1-button mouse no problem. (and get less RSI while I'm at it ;))

I just can't believe how good the system is, or how much smaller and quieter it is than my old pc. I love the fact that I only need the power cable out of the back to use it. (although I usually have my 5.1 Logitech Z-680s connected via optical during the day)

Cool setup. Closest I can come to that is to hook my PowerBook to my big screen TV. My little 23" display does pretty good for my daily needs though.

Dual 1.25Ghz G4
80gb system drive
200 video
40gb backup
1.25gb ram
64mb video card
combo drive
dvd dl 16x drive
with a 20" apple cinema display and jbl creature speakers
then hooked up to a reference monitor and vhs.

as far as software i am using the apple production suite and after effects.

i also have a 12" powerbook stock that i have with me at all times. i mainly use this computer for school and writing screenplays, but i still do some editing on it, but i save the big stuff for my desktop. also, in there is my 20gb iPod and HP printer. Fun stuff for a 19year old film/vieo student!

I have that same desk. I was always too scared to put my G4 in that slot. It was a close fit. I just bought a few stackable drawers instead to fill the gap.

I don't have pictures... And I'm a recent switcher, so my list isn't long. And it's a bit weird too :p

1. PowerBook G4 550 MHz: I only had this 'Book for about 2 months. I just decided that I don't like laptops, and want a desktop, so I sold it on eBay about two months after I bought it, and swallowed a $400 loss, then bought a...

2. 17" iMac G4 800 MHz: I got this with the money I got from selling the PowerBook. I really liked the thing, but wasn't really completely sold on Apple and Mac OS X, so I only had this for 7 months before I "switched back", and built a PC tower, a pretty kickass one as well. Then in summer 2003, I got an...

3. iBook G3 900 MHz - I decided to give Apple one more chance, and the promotion they had going at that time was amazing - the iBook, a printer, Final Cut Express and an 10 GB 3G iPod, all for just 1,600. Who can beat that?! Well, for the next 4 months, I used the iBook as a secondary "toy" computer, and did everything on my PC tower. Then I got Panther, and it addressed so many of my complaints about Jaguar, and it somehow convinced me that Apple rules and PCs drool. So now my PC is sitting at home in neglect, and this iBook is being used as my main computer. It's the first Mac I had for a full year, too. :p :D

nfocus design,

it's a nice desk and i haven't had any pronlems with the G4 staying in the slot. But, I think that is a good idea with the drawers, the main reason i hae it there and not my desk is to utilize space.

I was just too chicken to put mine up there. Glad yours has been okay. I didn't try, but I don't think my G5 would fit even it I wanted it to.

iBook G3/800 256 AirPort bought May 03, 10gb 3G iPod 12/03, old Realistic headphones, Palm Tungsten C, Apple keyboard and mouse, SanDisk USB drive.

Next to it, Western Electric Model 500 phone, because newer isn't always better, but elegance is always a good thing.

Found some!

It is my iMac, my PowerBook, and the PC screen all playing the same song in iTunes. The PC isn't actually hooked up though. iTunes just mirrors the displays...
(note: horribly compressed! )
