    The real "big mistake" was getting caught, I believe.

    Funny that every time there's a 'mistake' it always is in the direction that helps Dubya politically...

    This was clearly a very important report for this administration in an election year. The idea that no high-ranking official was keeping a close eye on every aspect of its creation (and thus some 'honest mistakes' slipped by), is highly implausible.

    THis combined with the thread about high ranking military people saying Bush is bad for national security will surely kill his chances at being elected in November.

    btw, my favorite quote of powell's in this article is regarding cooking the books...he says "We can't get away with that now"...hmmm, what does that imply?

    Sure, add another color to confuse everyone, maybe the media will spend a day discussing it and give Bush some misdirection time.
    What a shell game.
