My Power Mac G4 is connected to my Apple Extreme (saucer style) via ethernet. I'm running 10.5.3 and haven't seen any problems before this. Now I've noticed that after a power failure, which happens with depressing frequency at my house, and the system reboots with an incorrect date/time (apparently because my PRAM battery is dead, even though I replaced it a few months ago), the system cannot see the AEBS. I have to set the date & time and reboot, then everything is OK. It's kind of a minor annoyance, but still I wondered if anyone knows whether an incorrect date/time should affect the ethernet connection like this.
