When I read the online specs for the Macpro it reports two separate voltage requirements (a "low" voltage setting compatible with US AC systems and a "high" voltage setting which has compatible specs with UK voltage). My question is whether this is a single power supply and all I have to do is use a compatible plug, or will a Macpro bought in the US only be compatible with the "low" voltage setting or will it work with both?

    Cheers.

actually I want to know this too. Im planning to buy a UK mac pro before moving to Canada (I want to use HE discont before i move). Does the AC adapter in the UK version support 110v as well as 240v?

The user's guide that shipped with mine states:

    Voltage ranges: 100-120 V AC and 200-240 V AC
Current: Max 12 A (low voltage range) or 6A (high voltage range)
    Frequency: 50 - 60 Hz

So it'll be fine in both the UK and US (with an adapter obviously).

Figured that was what it meant. But it is kind of an odd way of writing it (where the laptops say 100-240V AC...).

    Cheers.
