I have OS 10.3 cd set will it work on the powerbook g4 1.33 ghz aluminum?

It's the retail copy of the CDs but is it true that it will not work on that new of a mac?

What would happen if I tried to use it? Could I leave my computer unbootable or would it stop me before it got that far?

New, that is an old Mac, about 4 years old. But 10.3 will work just fine, infact, that computer shipped with 10.3 as its original OS.

From what I understand, there was a generation of powerbooks that shipped with 10.3 but they shipped with it after the last retail 10.3 disks were made and needed some kind of update in the OS install to get it to work properly, might have been drivers?
