I am getting a 12" PB, from Apple with the stock 256 RAM. I would like to purchase extra RAM (a 512 stick) from a third party. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There have been multiple discussions on this recently ... see this and this.

I ordered my 512MB PB RAM from OWC and it has worked out fine. I almost stripped one of the small screws installing the RAM, though. So be careful.

With 3 question marks you are asking 3 times, but I'll only answer you once. Crucial is your best bet.

I bought Kingston RAM when I upgraded my 12" PB. Worked well, and the price was Ok too, compared to other brands.
I looked at Crucial RAM too, but everyone was out of stock and ordering directly from Cruical would be much too expensive for me, living outside US. (import tax, vat, etc.).

oh boy is that a loaded question.

Crucial is very expensive for 1 gig stick, which is best.

I think that a samsung 1 gig stick for about 319. is best,
but i may change my mind soon! :)
