This may be a n00blicious question, but I was curious as to the difference between the iBook and Powerbook screens, particularly the 12" . The technical stats look the same (12.1in TFT, 1024x768) but after using both, the Powerbook seems to have a nicer looking display. A friend is in the notebook market, and having convinced him to buy a Mac, I'm trying to justify spending a little more for the powerbook. But I figure I might just be a little biased (see below) :)

The PowerBook has a faster processor, has a superdrive available, and support monitor spanning rather than just mirroring. This is the largest difference. I think the display is the same one, but I am not sure. The PBook is also a little smaller/lighter. I would only go for the iBook if you are looking for absolute maximum battery life or the couple hundred bucks cheaper.
