I'm sure I'm gonna be told to not fool with it but I've got a mdd and was thinking of getting an old eyetv USB 1.1 or possibly an eyetv 200 and use the eyetv software v2 to make a htpc dvr to a television with just analog cable to it right now...well actually it gets a few HDTV channels but I can live without them to be able to time shift...anyway does anybody have any idea whether remote buddy works with this or know of any other legacy htpc software that would allow me to run stream from my plex server...I might put tiger on it but want the whole thing to be "snappy" so I'd sacrifice features to just do what I want it to do very well...sorry for the long post...lol...and I hope I'm in the right forum...

These are WAY too loud to be suitable as an HTPC.

Depending on which revision, they're suitable. And everyone has their own preference for loudness levels when watching media.

It'd work, just might be a bit slow at some things.
