    Hey y'all,

Recently spotted a powermac on sale. Its the gigabit G4 (2x 500). I am thinking about using this mac to do some simple photo/video editing and possiblely use it as a server. For the people that own this model. What kind of things do you like about this particular model? What are the things you think needs to be upgraded? Any other advices that you would suggest if I do get this computer? Also, would it be a fair offer for that model with 2gb of ram and a bigger HD for 250-300 bucks? THank you all for your help. Have a nice day.

    For how much?

How much are you going to be buying this computer?

Why not just get a mac-mini and keep things simple?

well the main reason is that I have the spare parts to soup up the pm g4 versus the mini. I have two 80gb hd with 8mb cache, 2gb of ram and probabley able to get a radeon 9800. So basically...I will be paying 250 for a souped up pm g4 versus 500 something for the mini with no core image support. I think thats all I was looking for
