    A tangent perhaps...

    I have often wondered how many speechwriters are either (a) heavy drinkers, (b) severely depressed, (c) amoral and compartamentalised or (d) all of the above.

    I guess this goes for much of the marketing world...in a world where your job is often to sell a distasteful or wholly disengenious product/idea, how does that affect one's psyche?

    For that matter, how many of the politicians who give those speeches are (d)? Tangentially to your tangent, as it were...
